The outdoor WiFi network is designed to guarantee an outdoor WiFi connection and most indoor connections. Indoor connections may vary depending on your unit’s structure type or location. Units with thick walls or are made of metal can reduce or reflect signal penetration. The proximity of your unit to the various distribution points of the WiFi network, foliage, buildings, and other obstructions may impact the WiFi signal’s ability to reach your unit. Some resorts offer units with dedicated indoor WiFi such as vacation rentals and internet at the pedestal. These options are subject to availability by location.

The resort receives a set amount of speed from the internet circuit to be dispersed and shared via the WiFi network throughout the resort. The speed you receive may be dependent on how many users are using the WiFi at the same time, what users are doing on the WiFi, how many devices each user has connected, etc.

A support team member will ask whether you’ve tried the basic troubleshooting steps listed above. If you have not, our team will walk you through basic troubleshooting steps for the device you are trying to connect. These steps may include forgetting the network, restarting the device, determining whether there is signal loss by asking you to attempt to connect outside. We ask for your patience during this process as our team assists in getting your individual device connected. If you’re still unable to connect after troubleshooting, it may indicate that there is an issue with the WiFi network and our team will be able to take the information gathered during your call to escalate for further WiFi network troubleshooting.

In iOS 14, Apple added a MAC randomization feature which is enabled by default. Since the WiFi network uses your MAC address to recognize your device, this causes the network to possibly not associate your device to your account. To disable:

  • Go to Settings and then WiFi.
  • Click on the information icon to the right of a network.
  • Tap to toggle Private Address off.
  • Restart your device and attempt to connect to the WiFi network again.
